RECENT PROJECTS
GreenTravel VR – Sustainable Mobility Through Immersive Tech
OpenPulse collaborated on GreenTravel VR, a University of Helsinki research project exploring how virtual reality can shift urban mobility habits. Our focus was on the technical backbone, developing realistic VR environments, optimizing performance, and enabling interactive travel scenarios that let users compare cycling, walking, and public transport choices against private car use. We worked on seamless data integration, spatial accuracy, and user interaction design to ensure immersion without compromising usability. The project demonstrates how advanced VR simulations can act as powerful tools for behavioral research and decision-making in sustainable urban development.
ADA Compliance Checker for Revit – Ensuring Accessibility via Automation
OpenPulse contributed to the development of the ADA Compliance Checker, an Autodesk Revit plug-in that automates evaluation of building models against the 2010 ADA standards. The tool scans doors, ramps, pathways, clearances, and other architectural elements in a Revit model to flag violations or noncompliant zones. It supports filtered reports by rule, category, or project level, enabling designers and BIM managers to proactively ensure accessibility. Our work focused on rule implementation, API integration, user interface design, and performance optimization within the Revit environment.
